Diogo M. Borges is a Portuguese filmmaker. In 2010, he studied and earned a Master’s degree in Industry Filmmaking, specializing in directing fiction and film editing, at the Central Film School in London.
He got his start as an assembly editor under the wing of Simon Sparkling on the project “Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson”. Since then, he gained experience as a freelance editor and eventually established himself as a director with short films such as "Mercy", "The best things in life," and the award-winning short film "Emilia".
Diogo also gained notoriety as a commercial director. In 2017, Diogo directed his first TV commercial for Volvic, titled "The Wall." Since then has created commercials for brands such as British Airways and Bowers & Wilkins.
Diogo has also created several spec commercials to showcase his skills, his most notable being No Excuse for Nike, which garnered 50k views on YouTube, and the Advice for Levi’s.
Diogo is currently based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he reconnected with his skateboarding roots. He’s made a commercial for Essencia Skateboards and a feature documentary called A Rumble by the Square.
